Title: Time to Kill

Tom was outside the shop looking in the window at one of those Snow Globes. Two children, adrift from parental control, were in the shop examining it. One of them picked it up and gave a large enthusiastic swirl. Gazed at it for two seconds and replaced it.

There was a swirl still going on in the globe. The tiny white snow swam in definite determined directions. Time passed and every particle settled eventually on the bottom. Santa looked a lot less hassled and the reindeer seemed at ease. The other child picked up the globe and swirled it again. Tom watched until the last particle settled.

It took about 4 seconds to begin the Snow Storm and about a minute for it to fully end. Tom thought about how he felt about Susan. She quickly swirled things up. He lived with the fall out for ever. Not anymore.
