Writer of the Month

Paul Kennedy

Paul is a member of his local Writing Group, run by Ali. He has a wealth of material from years of observing the idiosyncrasies of others, and regularly puts it to hilarious use in his short stories - he is a great writer of comic ‘grumpy old git’ pieces. Think Richard Wilson, from BBC’s One Foot in the Grave, and you have him.

But there’s more skill to his pen… he can also produce some beautifully drawn descriptive pieces – when pushed.

Paul is also a member of a second Writing Group, which means he spends a considerable amount of his time writing. We also happen to know that he is a doting and much loved grandfather – contrary to the ‘grumpy old git’ characters who narrate his stories! Lots more material there, Paul!

We’re delighted to share one of Paul’s comic pieces on our Showcase Page – only problem we had was deciding which one! We hope you enjoy his outrageous, comic take on life. We certainly do.
